Trick or Treat

One of my favorite parts of Halloween is handing out candy to the little kids. I love seeing their costumes. The toddlers have the cutest costumes. One that I saw was a chicken. She was so younger that she was just riding in a little, red wagon. She looked like she was fenced in like a chicken normally would be on a farm. Another one I like was this little boy was dressed as a monkey. He came to the door and I gave him candy. He was so excited, he ran back to his parents yelling, "I GOT CANDY!!!!" :) he was so cute. I think my all time favorite costume for this year was my mom's friend's granddaughter. She is 5 months old. Her parents carved out a pumpkin and put holes in it for her legs, arms, and head. It was so adorable.

Black Cat

The black cat twiched it's tail twice. It hissed. It crouched. Whoosh!!! Came the cat toward Sally. Sally screamed and began running around frantically trying to free herself from the cat. Around and around the yard she went. Finally, her mother came out of the house to see what all the comotion was. She was in shock from the sight. She grabed the cat a through him over the fence and then went back to Sally. Sally was now laying on the ground crying. She was bleeding badly and was covered in scratches. Sally's mom helped her up and took her to the kitchen to get cleaned up.

Halloween Costumes

My favorite Halloween costume was when I was in 4th grade. I dress up as a robot. I had on grey pants and a long sleeve shirt then over top of that I had on a old computer box that I had covers in grey duct tape and had drawn buttons on. It was very fun to make. The only problem with it though was that I couldn't sit down in it, because I couldn't bend over. My next favorite costume was when I was in 7th grade we did this trunk-er-treats at my grandma's church and our theme was Charlotte's Web and I was dressed as Wilbur. It was very cute. I had on a pink sweat shirt, pink pants, pink socks, a pink curly tail, pink ears, and a pink nose-that I made out of a plastic cup covered with a pink piece of felt.

Halloween Senses

On Halloween night my senses just come alive.

I see, smell, hear, feel, and taste so many differents things.

Somethings are:

furry and blue, crinckley and dry,

sweet and squishy,

scary and screeching, green and slimey,

sparkley and shiney,

cold and brisk, howling and screaming.

All your senses come alive on Halloween night.

Scary movies

I can not stand scary movies. I refuse to watch them. I just don't see the joy in scaring people to death. What make a movie scary for me is people jumping out from behind doors with chainsaws wanting to kill you. That just creeps me out. The last scary movie I saw was Monster House. For awhile after I watched that movie I was afraid to walk on a hardwood floor because I was afraid it would eat my foot , because of the jagged "teeth" in the movie. Even today my sister still teases me about watching scary movies. She thinks it's fun jump from behind doors and scare the crap out of me.

Ghosts

When you think of Halloween you usally think of candy, pumpkins, witches, haunted houses, scare crows, black cats, scary stories, and ghosts. I love candy and pumkins and I can stand witches and scare crows, but I can not stand ghosts or scary stories. I know they aren't real, but they just give me the creeps. Why can't Halloween be a happy holiday, instead of a scary holiday? I would like Halloween much better if people focused more on the candy, pumkins, and fun costumes instead of trying to terrify people.

Halloween Night

Spooky,
Scary,
Strange
All come to mind
When
I hear the word
HaLlOwEeN.

Yellow glowing ghost
Are the suns
In the night sky.
Creaking, beige, rotten
Skeletons.
Short, green, hairy goblins
All walk and fly around
On the
31st of October,
Halloween night.

Ahhhh!
Don’t hurt me
You big green mean kid eating machine!!
I screamed to myself
At midnight on
Halloween.

Skeletons collapse like
Old brown, musty, wooden stairs
As they clink and rattle
Out of their grass covered graves.

Monsters
JUMP!!
Out of the cold, dark closet
And scare little kids
Out of their
Faded blue pajama pants.

Jack-o-lanterns
Smiling a one-
Toothed grin
In the night as
Wide as
The
Mississippi River.

While the
Clock
Strikes midnight
On
Halloween Night.

Spooky,
Scary,
Strange
All dance around
In my mind
On Halloween night.
